For what it's worth, I have a set of Pilot Road 2's on my 07 R12R and showing very minimal wear at 4,000 miles. Not much experience in the rain since I got them. Very happy with their dry performance.

My car is always filthy, never in the garage, bike is always clean.

I have the same bike with just about the same equipment. Bought mine in May of this year with 9,400 miles. It now has 14,500 and makes me smile very time ride.

I don't believe they are exactly the same but very similar. I think the Grip Puppies are made of foam that is a little more dense. I always give my R1200R the best I can find, usually 93 Sunoco. For the 30 cents per gallon difference and using about 5 gallons on a bone dry fillup, it's only a buck and half more for the premium. I don't drink cheap beer either.
