Re: Three quarter helmets....
I like the Nolan N-42 N-Com for really hot days and running errands close to home. The dual visors are really nice and work well behind the windscreen of my R12R. Great visibility and fit, love the padded ratchet chin strap. http://www.nolanhelmets.com/n42ncom.htm A full face is almost always in ord...

Re: Pilot Road 2's vs Conti Road Attacks? *WARNING TIRE THREAD*
For what it's worth, I have a set of Pilot Road 2's on my 07 R12R and showing very minimal wear at 4,000 miles. Not much experience in the rain since I got them. Very happy with their dry performance.

Re: Slim City Lids designed for the R1200R side luggages...
I just ordered a set of side case rails with the rear rack so I can add a top case for my R1200R. I can sell you the rails that are on my bike now (for BMW side cases only with mounting hardware) for $50 bucks plus freight in about three weeks when my bike comes out of storage. Let me know if you ar...

I like the all black look.
Has anyone tried to use automotive window tint on the back side of a screen? Thinking about it for my BMW touring screen.

Re: Larger grips or foam covers
I don't believe they are exactly the same but very similar. I think the Grip Puppies are made of foam that is a little more dense. Regardless of which or where you order, I beleive there is a minimum order amount, something like $25.00. The outfit in California has lots of small stuff that I use and...

Re: Larger grips or foam covers
One more thing, at the suggestion of this Forum, I bought a set of Grip Puppies and I do like them. The foam is fairly dense so the "feel" factor is not minimized. I did notice that becaurse of my small hands and the increased diameter of the grips, I did have to adjust the clutch and brak...

Re: What grade gasoline are you using?
I always give my R1200R the best I can find, usually 93 Sunoco. For the 30 cents per gallon difference and using about 5 gallons on a bone dry fillup, it's only a buck and half more for the premium. I don't drink cheap beer either.

Re: Test Ride Feedback - R1200R and R1200GS
All I can say is the move to my 07 R1200R has been pure love. I bought mine while dropping my F650GS off for an oil change. I too have joined the very shiny bike club. This bike gets looks wherever I take it. Even Harley owners stop for a look. I'm 5'10" with a 30' inseam and find the low seat ...

Re: Software Update
I recently bought my 07 with 9,000 miles and just had my 12,000 service competed. I had all of the recalls and updates installed, new Pilot Road 2's, plus the regular service for 12K including valves. The engine sounds better, deeper and seems buttery smooth. I agree with an earlier poster that my f...

Re: 2009 Alpine White R1200R
The white is very cool. Understated wickedness. Or a white knight, black knight thing.
Mine's all Black, 07, no stripes, still very fast.
If you black powdercoat you wheels, please post a picture, sounds cool.

Re: 650 x-country to r1200r upgrade - need advice
I know just where you are in your thought process. Earlier this spring I traded my 06 F650GS wiht 4,000 on the clock for a slightly used 07 R1200R. I also live in SE Pennsylvania and ride to the Jersey Shore. You will obviously notice the increase in power. For me the brakes took a little more time ...
