New R1200r owner

Post by bikelee »

:D Just bought a hardly used 2007 r1200r. It came with oem saddlebags, center stand, valve cover protectors, abs, sport windshield, onboard computer. Its got 9100 miles. They will be delivering it to me on Wednesday. I am pumped ! Been looking for one for about a year. It runs really strong. Lee

Lee,

I have the same bike with just about the same equipment. Bought mine in May of this year with 9,400 miles. It now has 14,500 and makes me smile very time ride.

Great choice. Good luck.

Of course we all hate these bikes. That is why we are all here. To add to the other comments, I, too, think these R1200R motorcycles are quite simply the bomb. Welcome to our little club of like minded eccentrics. You are in for quite a ride.

I use to own a '05 R12GS. It was too big for me so I traded it in for a R12R. I didn't even test ride the 12R, I just threw the 12GS back at the dealer, and downed 6K towards the 12R. Once I finally signed my life away, I went out to take my new baby home. The 26 miles ride home was AMAZING! Ear to ear doesn't even begin to describe the state of being. Since then it's been a little over 1 1/2 years and 18K miles later. Baby still brings a smile to my face every time I take her out for a spin. I've even taken the 12R off road around Mammoth Lake, CA. She's does really well on packed trails.

Congratulations. Now get out there and teach those chicken strips a lesson or two.
