Take all the paint off and polish the alloy. Once done looks good and a quick rub over now and then is all you need. ;)

Re: How to Repair Scratches on Panniers

May I suggest that you are wasting your time. If you use the boxes you WILL get marks on them however careful you are. That's the way it is.
They keep you stuff dry, stop it from falling onto the road. What more do you want . Go on a trip with them.
Have FUN .. 8)

Favourite was the Moto Morini Grandpasso.Very expensive and Italian ie unknown untried and I have been ca...

Re: Fill plug stipped on final drive

If all else fails. Get a centre punch make a dimple in top outside edge. Put the punch at an angle so the force imparted drives the plug in a counterclockwise direction. Using a big heavy hammer on the punch, that will drive in and round, the plug will loosen. Undo plug, buy a new one to replace. Bi...

Re: 12v accessory socket

Looks like someone fitted an optimate type connector for charging batt under your seat. Gaz H how easy was the terminal connections on the Oddesy battery. I have just ordered one and was thinking of making two posts from bits of angle to bolt to the battery with a hole in to take the existing leads....

R/H drive L/H drive.

Pull off the instrument cowl/cover. Remove screws top and bottom of housing self tap screws( 2 top 2 bottom). The dip beam light has a clamp around it. you loosen the Allen screw located about one o'clock (looking from the front of bike at the lens) this allows the lamp to turn a bit. ( i think it's...

Angle

Mechanicaly, the lesser angle is kinder to the shaft. Went for that long ride to London for the riders rights demo, against road pricing for bikes.. The seat seems slightly more comfortable with the different (shorter) arm. The steering is more to my liking. Bonus all round I think..

Shorter arm

Have just fitted R1100s/GS arm to Rock. Steering realy good now, seems more lively. The other things the seat seems better, perhaps due to being raised a tad at the rear?? I have allways thought that the angle of the std Rock driveshaft looked a bit strange with the kink in the end, thats gone now and...

hi. Givi do some very good boxes, they also do a very neat mount and bracket which fit realy well onto the pannier rails. Only fault is that it mounts right on the back of the seat, Makes passenger room quite limited.. I fitted 52 ltr case, ugly but the thing has hardly been off the bike for two yea...
