Re: Pavement-1.........................................ChiTown-0
Sorry to hear about your accident ChiTown, not more I can add that others have not already said. Hope you make a full recovery and continue to post your adventures. On a side note, I bet I hold the record for the shortest ownership of a R1200R before it was totaled.... A year ago I rode it out of th...

Interesting. I know BMW 's run pretty quiet like sewing machines, but I would like to hear a bit more rumble from the exhaust....not sure if I want to completely remove the muffler though.

Re: Not to hijack britguy's thread but.......
motorradguy Sorry to see you selling your bike. Didn't you have a Sargent seat on it. I remember you got it on e-bay would you be selling it or another spare seat separately? Never had a Sargent seat on my 1200R, but I did have one on a 1150GS I owned a couple years ago......I have been using an Ai...

Re: Anyone else with long legs?
I am not certain what seat height I have (how do I find out?), but I probably sit an inch or so higher because I use an AirHawk pad. I am 6 ft with 32 inch inside leg,and have a history of knee problems and injuries. The only problem I had with my knees was day two of a 2 day 1300 mile ride, but tha...

Re: Touring
I like the fairing! Does it do anything for you other than look good and hold the windscreen? Peter I am 6 ft tall, 32 inch inside leg. Difficult to say what the actual fairing alone does as its not possible to use the windsecreen without it, although I can use the fairing without the windscreen :)...

I would at least expect a loan bike on a 08, 1000 mile bike until they fixed the problem.

Touring
Just returned from a 3k mile one week tour, multiple 600 mile days in the saddle. Parabellum Scout fairing with 20 inch screen performed extremely well keeping the turbulance and bugs off me. Used a Airhawk seat pad and not once did I need to complain about butt ache. Bike was flawless, long day Int...

Re: Airhawk 2 Seating System !
I have an Airhawk on my 1200R and am currently in the middle of a 3k mile 1 week trip......I have been averaging 500 miles a day and it has been very comfortable, no seat complaints at all.

Re: Hannigan or Parabellum?
This is mine...a Parabellum Scout fairing. I am 6ft 180# and 32 inside leg. I have two screens, the one shown is a 20 inch screen , my line of vision is above the fairing and it deflects the wind well. With no side bags or top box its streamlined and I can get as much as 58mpg (computer), but with ba...
