GPS Power Source

Post by DAV-AZ »

Hello all, new guy here. I located the factory GPS Naviguessor power source on my K1200GT and spliced into it for CANBUS switched power. It was very easy to use, factory tie wrapped to a cross brace and sealed with a plastic cover. I'm sure the R1200R has the same plug under the tank, somewhere. I'm reluctant to pull the tank without looking at a service manual, which I don't yet have. Has anyone spotted the plug? Thanks in advance,

Very interesting. Can't help you but if you pull the tank I would realy apreciate it if you would take pictures of what you've done. There probably will be a connector somewhere as there is a special wiring harness available for GPS power suply(witch must plug into somewhere). I am planning on mounting a gps system(probably a Garmin Zumo) in the future somewhere next year for travelling abroad so any pictures would be very helpfull.
