how do i cut ,shorten my rear mud flap?[licence plate area]
what is the best way to cut the rear mud flap to shorten it?
boy the bike looks a 100% better with it short!!!

I bought the BMW roundel for that area. I agree before I got it it was a little bare looking.

It's not a tough job at all. I followed the instructions from one of the posts on here, and did it with a dremel tool. The key is practicing your cut down lower on the fender so that you have a good feel for it before the final cut. I then used a wire-brush attachment for the dremel to smooth out the rough spots.
I had toyed with the idea of doing it until my German Sherpherd decided to give me a head start. I discover little red sparkles from one of the reflectors and realized that he had given up his bone for my BMW's rear fender. He was always drawn to red reflectors...go figure. Chewed 'em off my bicycle too

I used a jig saw for the cut, then a dremel tool to smooth it up. As stated, remove the flap extender and make a practice cut first. I cut it off about where the bottom of the license plate frame is.
It looks better for sure and makes getting the rear tire off much easier. But anyone following you gets sprayed! Or so I heard from MikeCam!
