Will 2004 R1150R Valve Covers fit a 2002 R1150R??

I like the way the 04 valve covers look on the twin spark. Will they fit on my 2002 1150R single spark?

I think that they will fit on there, but I do not think that the plug wire will fit, and that means that you can't get the black plastic cover on. I am not 100% sure on this, but I am pretty confident.

I have owned both, and the plug wires are very different. The 02' will not work on the 04'. But it might work the other way around.

Valve Covers

Hummmm

I don't think hat the valve covers will fit at all, I own an 02 RS (same covers) and have looked at the 04 twin spark. The covers may look the same, however if you were to put them on I think you will have oil all over since the head will have an opening where the second spark plug is supposed to be.

If you are talking about the spark plug wire covers I also think that they will not work, the old style ones have a 2 rubber support grommets that press against the head cover and a snap mechanism which holds the wire, in the twin spark these mechanism is similar but not the same in terms of where the grommits are etc.
