Refilling ft. forks
Had to change a fork seal. What is the proper method of refilling the ft. forks? How much oil,bleeding the air out,est. Thanks

Black Plastic Fork Tubes Cracked...
With 7000 miles on the clock, I guess it's time for me to change fork fluid while I install new caps.

The service manual says:
Since there's no hydraulic damping circuit in them, a 5 or 10 weight synthetic oil should be fine for friction free movement.
EDIT: I've E-Mailed you a short note and the page from the service manual on fork dissassembly/assembly.
The service manual says:
If you had it apart for a seal change, it takes 470cc forkoil per leg. The air space above the oil level does mimic an actual spring - - - as I found out when I removed the top forktube nut to change my mildly cracked top dust seals (the part that you see sliding up and down with the forktube).Note: No oil changes required during inspections: unit is
maintenance-free.
