Update- I received the Wunderlich Vario risers and they installed easily on my bike. After about a month of riding around with the risers in place my wrist pain is GONE! The slight adjustment in height, and I assume angle, has completely remedied the bad pain I used to get with the stock setup. Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.

No need to install longer throttle or brake cables?

I cannot be much help here. I just switched from a S1000RR to the R12... for me it is like sitting in an easy chair sipping good scotch by comparison :)

Good luck in any case. Be comfortable!
