Re: Back in the Saddle Again

I still think about my old R1100R now and again. Just a very classic and well drawn bike.

Enjoy.

Re: New rockster owner with questions and concerns....

+1 on jfslater's comments.

A TB sync fixes all sorts of issues. Do a search in the forums for "how-to" help. I would recommend going back to the dealer if you were not so inclined to attempt yourself, but sounds like they missed a few things when you picked it up.

Welcome to the board.

We seem to be a little off bubble... what is this bubble you speak of? I can look around the house for it later, but right now I need to go feed my unicorns.

Re: Dilemma

Alf, I can't make my mind up on that look. At first I think no...but I keep coming back to look at it some more. It looks like a short GS. Do you have any pictures of the bike with the GS beak and the Roc tank? I would like to see how the lines match up. All in all, a great effort and very, very ori...

Re: 200 Days to Tennessee Bash

](*,)

I was looking forward to the bash, but the dates clash with the already reserved dates for the Myrtle Beach bike week rally. It's like I just got sucker punched in the gut. Hopefully the 2 days of demo rides will take away some of the sting. Have fun and someone post some pics.

Re: Dilemma

:-k Guess I am a little slow, but I was thinking about your project and the placement of the oil coolers on the GS versus the R. You drop the bike on it's side and it could be the end of your trip. There is an awesome thread in the R1100 section of a blue R1100R that looks fantastic. He relocated hi...

Re: Dilemma

Woo Hoo. This will be fun to watch. I agree most, if not all, of the parts should transfer over. Before you get overwhelmed, make a list of your priorities for the bike. Such as ground clearence, wheel travel, appearence, terrain, etc... Using that list, find out which parts will give you more bang ...

I am still running around. It's a balmy 61 (16 C) today here in Georgia.

Not bad for December. Stay safe on those roads.

Merry Christmas.

Rockster clock

My bike didn't come with the owners manual and I am unable to figure out how to reset my clock. Can someone provide me with the correct sequence of steps?

Thanks,

Re: Beakster Bash also welcomes the Rockster gang

Biff,

Thanks for the invite but I will have to catch the next go around. I am using my "Kitchen Pass" from the Boss to head over to CycleRob's place for a day and tool around. Hope all goes well and thanks for taking the time to put it all together.

Re: Tech Day in Gainesville GA?

CycleRob,

Did we finalize the start time? Last I read, it was slated for a 9:30/10 am kick off. Should we expect a PM with address/phone numbers of your place soon?

If I am late, save me a donut with sprinkles......mmmmm.....sprinkles.

Thanks,

I don't have the owners manual with my bike and I was in the process of making my own cheat sheet when...BAM....here it is.

we haven't met personally but I think we have comunicated via email. Not having an airbox makes you an elite member of or club which at the time has a count of two. [quote="towerworker"]Good and useful information. However I didn't see any information on checking the antifreeze in the R's radiators. ....there is a check valve under the gas tank in front of the battery but behind the fuel injection computer. Only way to get to it is to pull the tank of...

Re: Tech Day in Gainesville GA?

Cyclerob, Thanks for the reply. I have the oil filter already and I can pick up some oil and plugs before the meet. I don't have an airbox so if anyone else needs the airfilter, feel free to step up. Re: Vibration single spark vs twin spark motors

I had the older R1100R and now ride a R1150R twin spark. Both bikes were great but could show their own range vibrations in different degrees. I found this more to be with their current state of tune and not so much the different motors. How long ago was the twin spark tuned? If you don't have recor...

Re: Tech Day in Gainesville GA?

Gents, I picked my bike up used and it didn't come with a manual or maintence records. I changed the oil, filter, and final drive oil 3K miles past just out of GP. Other then that I haven't touched anything maintence wise. Based on that statement, can someone provide me with a list of what I should ...
