Re: Jump start
Good Afternoon CycleRob, Oh yes. the battery is dead. Even after charging it did not crank. So I had ordered a Bosch M4. Weight of the cable is a good hint btw. I just copied all the steps to my mobile Dear AZBMWRIDER, I will remove the cover and try to locate those. Mr. Kirby, what brand do you rec...

Jump start
Good Afternoon, Is there a way to jump start battery w/o removing the tank ? As usual after winter, battery is dead so it won’t crank! Last ride was in february for three hours, no issues of charge. Now what I read is 9.6 Volts and I had removed the battery. Is there a way to jump starts w/o removin...

Re: Battlax T30 EVO GT spec?
Good Evening, I have been using since 1 year Battlax Evo T30 on my R1150R, usually with loaded panniers. Living in a rainy region, I can comment that curve handling on wet is perfect. For unexpected stops, after they are hot, brake distance is relatively short compared to michelins. I suggest that y...

Re: 1150r very red muffler !
Good Afternoon Sweatmark, Yep, that was awesome and resolved the issue. Thank you very much, power of the forum. Last week I had removed the fuel tank to charge the battery before I ride during the season. I had connected QD's and now I found from the links that I pulled the throttle cable cap up-n-...

1150r very red muffler !
Good Morning, Yesterday, I just wanted to travel around in the morning. Prepared everything, started the engine, it died. Started it again, died. Then with few adjustments for idling, it started to run, with coughing. Not frequently, but as if discharging periodically. Then, I noticed that exhaust i...

Re: R1150R 2005 Headlight Question
thank you CycleRob, exactly my question is why the parklight does not work alone. I opened up the headlight bucket and took a photo but since I can not post it here. I can not show the connection. But anyway during the weekend I will deal with this issue. I justed wanted to know whether this is norm...

Re: R1150R 2005 Headlight Question
I guess my question was wrong. Clearly, the low beam is standard. That's for sure, i tried to explain the tech this fact. However the question that paralyzed me was; " if the park front light is useless why it is there ?"

R1150R 2005 Headlight Question
Good Afternoon, I had an interesting day in biyearly vehicle inspection. I had everything fine up to a point where we controlled all lights. The parking lamp in the front headlight case went off during inspection. So, inspection result was NOK. I replaced the faulty lamp simply with a T10 wedge type...

Handlebar, Caps and Rider Pegs
Good evening, Does anyone has an experience of changing handlebar caps ? I just changed the worn grips with Ariete grips and observed that internal part of the caps are rusty. If there is a market available end cap, I would like to change without revisioning the originals. In the meantime the rubber...

Re: Worn out hex socket on front wheel fork
Well, A 5mm drill and associated screw remover did not work since the tool smeared (not of good quality hss). Then decided to split hex head from the body of the bolt. Run a 10 mm drill for 7 mm depth step by step. Last chance I drilled in the next screw remover, first turn, it was out ? Experience;...

Re: Worn out hex socket on front wheel fork
Good Evening, Spray is finding(hopefully) small gaps to penetrate. Drilling is complete. Screw remover is on its way. Unfortunately, in my area tools are not very easy to find on local shops. Torx does not function. I am in the mood of making a slit. However somebody is whispering; " patience, ...

Worn out hex socket on front wheel fork
Good Morning, Exaggerated power use with a worn hex wrench during front wheel removal. I ended up with a hex socket which has no more hex socket. hex socket is almost oval round now. Do you guys have any idea how to remove this without going to an expert ? Welding is the last option I guess; here is...

Re: Scrambling the tires !
After a year's sniffing for a scrambling tires, my original tires are worn out. During this time I noted down my 1 year travel log (based on what sweatmark noted down); ~ 2000 km's on asphalt ~ 3200 km's in between village quality roads (non-asphalt and non enduro like roads) now the time has come f...

Re: Bike has died
İt sounds me like that your fuel line is not working. İt might be messed up in the tank and fuel is not flowing. Clean all hoses from the tank till injectors with air one by one. İf hall sensor is down you should not hear any functioning device.

İf you consider the structure no need to use oem one. Consider using a well known brand like mahle fil etc.
