okay i think i got it...

the angulated "tongue" doesn't wrap around the bracket, but sort of pushes the bracket into the hooks, giving the mechanism a very tight fit... gosh, sometimes german technology confuses me...

are you guys saying that the latch mechanism, or angulated "tongue", that juts out from the case as you fold the handle, will wrap around the bracket, instead of into a slot or opening on the underside of the bracket, as long as the case is seated properly?
