Re: Topcase R1100R
Moto-m,
Thanks for the help and the photos. I found an aluminum baseplate on ebay for a good price -- I'll post some photos when I am done.

Re: Foot Pegs
Joelh,
My hard case covers were sprayed with Line-X brand bed liner. I did that a couple of years ago and they still look great. Super durable too.

Foot Pegs
I installed some Burton Briggs foot peg brackets on my R1100r. Just wanted to share in case anyone was looking for a similar solution. To make things easy, I bought the pegs from the Harley dealership - they are kuryakyn iso pegs. I sent the brackets to a chrome plater to match the valve covers. htt...

Re: Topcase R1100R
I have a 1996 R1100r with the BMW rack in place of the grab bar. Is there a Givi mounting kit that adapts to this rack - Is this what you did and can you provide details / part numbers? I see that the Givi site doesn't even list the R1100r anymore... If you have the time, would you post some pixs? T...

I bought it on eBay for around $300 and like it better than the Two-Bros C6 that I had before.

Product and part # identification help
I bought this on Ebay and plan to use it to raise my bars up an inch or so. It will work fine for that purpose. I was wondering if anyone can help me identify the part number and manufacturer. Here is the picture: http://tinyurl.com/3j76y3r Cut and paste the link into a new tab or window. Thanks!

Re: Backfired and right side exhaust popped off...
I think that you have a bigger problem than a tight fit for you air intake tube. You bike shouldn't be backfiring when the intake valve is open and blow the hoses off your airbox. The hose clamps are there simply to prevent air leaks not for guarding against irreguar combusiton. From my experience, ...

Re: gearbox number
From Anton's oilhead site: The M94 was used from 10/1993 through 03/1996. Undercuts eliminated, pointed shift spline used on first gear to aid engagement. Rubber O-rings were used between the gears and the cluster/output shafts, to quiet the clatter. Anecdotally, this made shifting worse. Towards th...

I have a 1996 R1100r with the factory luggage rack and want to solve the following problem: How to attach a 33L top case (part no. 71602316732) to a R1100r with rack (part no. 46542328617)? Re: Older R1100R's what to expect?
John, Was the bike listed for sale in Atlanta? If so, I bought it last month. The color, price, mileage and reports of the 6K service are very coincidental... I have worked on this bike for the last 5 weeks. I'll post a before and after pic. After I started going through the bike, It was clear that ...
