They are one of the bigger retailers in the country owned by the same folks who have the HD franchise>>> I do not believe they are going out of business. The parts guys are nice enough b...

Re: Handlebar raisers
Be careful on the ones that bring the bars "back" and not just up.
It will change your steering enough to make a difference as the bars will no longer be in a line up from the forks..
caveat emptor~

Re: bar riser suggestions
my experience with the risers is that you only want to go up. not back
throws off the perceived steering angle if not the real thing.

Re: Clutch replacement
When my 02 blew the slave and fouled the disc, the estimate from the BMW dealer was $1600+. I found a competent independent shop to do the work for around $1100. My spline was fine and other mentioned potential problems were absent.

You do not need to wire it to the headlight.
Any circuit that is live when the key is on will work.
I used the rear brake light hot side as it was very convenient.
I mounted the switch on the right side removable panel just below the oil cooler.

The $1100 end to the clutch story
So my 02 roadster's slave cylinder was the culprit. It then caused the master to fail as well as totally fouling the clutch disk. I rebuilt the master myself with the kit but took the bike into a shop for the real work. $1100 later I am back on the road. I was fortunate to find a shop to do the work...

Re: Clutch Master Failure?
I tore the master apart and I do believe it had problems as it was barely pushing anything. I ordered the parts today so hopefully in a week or so I can put it back together and see if that was the whole problem or merely the easy portion. Doing a clutch goes beyond PITA status, and even replacing t...
