After buying my RR my parents gave me a book as a gift. Its all about the history of BMW and their motorcycles. It tells the story from the very beginning and goes into details of the motor designs and so forth. I love the book and highly recommend it for anyone with an interest in motorcycles! titl...

I too love custom style helmets. I currently have a Shoei RF1000 Pascal Picotte in Orange. This past weekend I was talking with an artist friend of mine and we are working on doing custom art work on a helmet. We will take a solid white helmet and wet sand it until it is scuffed properly. Then, the ...

It's an 02 with a little over 7k on it. I wouldn't expect any of these types of things to happen with so few miles. The previous owner evidently didn't ride it very ofter at all. I shall procede to take it into my dealer and have it checked out. I have a full engine warranty for the next three years...

Difficult to downshift!

I've been having trouble for the past week or so when I downshift gears. It's even difficult to get the bike into first gear from neutral. When I downshift I literally have to stomp on the shifter! I've checked my fluids and whatnot, everything is in order. Has anyone had this problem on their RR? M...

Hey there, folks!

I am seriously considering a Remus exhaust with their Y-pipe and Genesis can. Is this a good combination for the RR? Must the bike be chipped after install? I know that the Revolution is a popular can, but I would like something just a tad bit noisier! :D

Many thanks!!

So, I've had my bike back on the road for about 2 weeks now. I did all of the repairs myself except for putting the new Rockster bars on (which are great by the way). :D I didn't really feel like running those hand warmer wires. In the end I saved myself a boatload of money doing the labor myself! H...

I personally recommend getting your shifting rpms familiarized. Especially the downshifts! I found that the shaft drive leaves absolutely no room for drive play as with a chain. You'll chirp the back tire a few times...I know I did!

Take care.

The thing with motorcycle shocks is that they are (like before stated) coilovers. You can get the same thing for cars, which too cost oodles more than standard shocks. The reason for the price difference is that with coilovers there is the nearly infinite adjustability factor. One of the main things...

Thanks for the support.

To be completely honest...I believe I'm more sore from lifting that heavy beast into & out of the back of a truck than from the spill!!

In addition, if we can't laugh about our fudges...we're just not living life to the fullest!!

Hard S-Curve + 65 mph + Gravel = BAD JUJU

Well folks...it's happened!! I layed down my RR yesterday. It was a wicked spill, but thankfully nobody was hurt. A few bruises on my arm and leg were the product of my ride yesterday. I think that my pride was hurt more than anything!! Haha. I need to replace the fuel line, turn signals, headlight ...

I just read the new issue of Maxim or FHM where he was in there...

He has a two-page layout where he does the double back flip AND explains how to do it!! Now, tell me kids aren't going to be trying that in their backyards!!
Heck, Imma go try it out right now on my RR :!:

I bought a flat drag bar for my roadster, but i have to do some mods to make it work. The clearance is a concern, although I can angle the bars downward or straight back to suit for the clearance issue. If there are clipons that are available for the rr that would be great. Where can one find them?

As I understand it, there was a recall on the RR for the fuel line. Does anyone else know of this recall? I only recently bought my bike...and heard (read) about the recall just this week, so I'm not exactly a reliable source.

Just today, my new Joe Rocket Alter Ego jacket came in. I'm uber-excited about it! It has a full outer shell with a removable mid-section by way of zipper. This then leaves a full mesh body with the shoulders and elbows still wrapped up. It includes dual density padding for the shoulders, elbows, an...

Too right!! Glad that you weren't hurt in the slip-up (or down??)

This goes to show how important it is to dress for the occasion. This makes me feel better in those times when I get funny looks for wearing a jacket and gloves in the Florida summer heat!!
