Hey All

I've been a lurker for years and thanks to all for the great advice.....

I need some advice on the best way, if at all, to jump my bike which is currently sitting with the battery dead in my loft in NYC (best parking in Manhattan)

If anyone has any advice on a device or other method jumping it would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks all and be well.

You can jump-start the R1150R easily if you have the external battery hookups installed, or you can fish around under the seat for a connection point to the battery. What I did in a similar situation was to go up to BMW of Manhattan, and buy the proper charger for the battery. About eighty bucks, and it plugs right into the accessory socket. A couple of hours of charging and she should fire right up.

G'day and welcome LT...do you have enough power to make any sound with the horn button..if so a roll start is an option....just a thought.

Or, if no lugs (external battery connections), pull the starter cover (one bolt) and hook up there.

DJ just wants to visualize you rolling that bike down the apartment house hallway to start it. Actually, I'd like to see tht myself.

Do you have a battery charger?

If not, I could drop by with my bike on the way from work and if you have jumper cables, just start your bike off of mine.
I work on 28th and 5th.

Thanks for the advice everyone. No need to roll the bike down the hall (although it was extremely tempting). All it needed was a good charge and I was doing laps around Manhattan on Sunday....Thanks again all and be well!!!!

To my NYC R1150R compadre - thanks for the offer for the jump - I live on the LES / Work at Madison and 24th - ride to work every day - I'll keep an eye out for you.

LOL

We are really just a few blocks apart.

I usually park my tigerstriped Rockster on 5th between 27th and 26th between metered cars.
