Ahem. I admit it. I am a packrat of sorts, in that I never seem to have enough room in my bags for all I wish to take with me on my longer trips when I take camping gear. It's close, but I end up taking my little digital camera instead of my 35mm equipment sometimes due to lack of space.
I have looked at many of the options out there, but I keep coming back to Jesse Luggage. I know they offer the most space to put stuff, but at double the cubic inches of standard BMW bags they seem almost too big for the R. Any comments from someone who has them would be greatly appreciated.
Also if anyone has something else that they use that offers more space than my current set-up: I use the large lids on standard BMW bags, which of course gives the bike a "big butt" look. And I strap a large duffel on the back, and a nice Wolfman tankbag.
Thanks in advance.

Bags
Do you ride the R1150R with the cut-out on the left bag for the can? If so, you can do as I, and go to the full size bag, with a lowered can. Not much more space, but some.

A former (perhaps just currently inactive) member here had Jesse's on his R and they worked. They did however restrict some of the cornering clearance. So if you are a conservative rider and can get past the looks of the Jesse's on the Roadster, it will work.
I like the Jesse's myself but just think they work, and look, better on a GS than the R.

thought about Micatech??
I ride a gs, but I keep thinking if I got a sport tourer I would fix up some Micatech boxes. They are side load so whats strapped across the top (my golf clubs) would not have to move to access the boxes. Plus, they look huge for capacity and sturdy. Just a thought. They advertise in ON.
