Good deal on R1150RT?

Post by garylspolar »

My dealer has a 2004 RT for sale. It has 24,000 miles, new Metzelers, just had a major service performed, and includes the BMW top box with passenger pad. I got him down to $11,500, and that's a fair price, about blue book value before the top box. I put $500 down before seeing it up close and taking a test ride, he'll hold it for me until I get there Sunday, and give the money back if I don't want it. My question is this - Are there better deals to be had, close to Cleveland? I searched ibmwr.org, and there's no 04 (twin spark) models close to me. If you know of one in or near Cleveland, let me know!

The one you are looking at seems to be on par with what is available here in eastern Pa. This place is typically the most reasonable dealer in the area.
You can check out their used inventory here.

Good luck,

Thanks for that link, Ryan. I'm flakin' out again, and told my local dealer to refund my deposit for now... I'm going to dream for a bit more, and that Hermy's site will help me see what's available out there, while the snow falls. I'll most likely purchase after the first of the year, or in spring.
