First Post! Just got my bike!!

Post by plum »

Been lurking here for a few weeks now trying to figure out if the rockster is what I want or not.....Well I picked up my used Rockster yesterday from Montreal and rode it back to Ottawa....wow...Love it! It is a 2004 all black (painted by last owner...not in an accident) with 2300km.....(almost 2700km now :D . )

I have been riding pure sport bikes for years (still have an RC51...and just sold my R6 track bike)

Only thing I need is a windshield....bit tough on the neck at 140km/h for over one hour.

I also need to set up the suspension. I know it wont ride like the RC but I think I can get a bit more out of it than the way it is currently set up.

Anyone have any input on where to get a windshield? Dealer wants almost $600 for one.

Hey Plum..congrats on the new bike..all black sound nice.

You will get used to riding without a screen..but if you really need one..I'm not 100% sure but I think anything that fits a GS might fit.

You should be able to pick up a small GS screen cheap off someone who's put a larger one on...good luck with it.

I'm sure others will be able to help more.

There are four or five screens for the roc, but all cost a pretty penny. I picked one up used from a member for 70.00. Take some time and search the threads, lots of info on screens. cheers!

Try a smaller screen - part of the riding position of the Rockster is that the wind blast keeps your weight off your wrists - I have a small "flyscreen" on mine that just takes the harsh edge off, but keeps you aware of your speed. :)
