I do not know if this quilifies as a great ride or not, but it was a personel challenge for me and I made it, and had a great time.

From l to r My good friend Bruce, (r1100rt) me (r1150r) my nephew Jim (triumph).

Bruce who is a "Sturgis Regular" has a great campsite very private.

I was all alone and turned around and had some visitors;

We only stayed in the Black hill for a couple of days, Bruce went on into Montana, Jim and I headed back to MN,we spent a couple of days sightseeing and camped in state parks.

When I got home I found this sign, It caught my eye right away as I spent some time at Fort Eustis, it is a Sign for a train or bus, which has the towns written on a roller, when one distination is reached it is simply rolled to the next stop, The yellow note is about "No Spitting" pretty neat.

Had some great riding in the Black Hills, Den

I had the subject wrong, although we were there for the "Rally" and went to all the "Spots" Sturgis, Deadwood, HillCity, Etc:, Thousands of bikes, literaly everywhere!!, many of the streets are open only to bikes, Although I really enjoyed touring the "Hills" I found the Rally to be of little interest. A few minutes in each town was enough for me. This is just my opinion, and I am sure there are a few hundred thousand bikers that would argue that. Den

Nice tank bag Den (I have one too).

I appreciate you taking the time to share your pictures. Motorcycle camping is the way to go, isn't it? Someday I'll make it out there to see those sights, probably not during the rally though.
