Nova Scotia with my Grandfather Day 8

Post by DSKYZD »

Day 1

Made it to Scranton, PA. Easy ride of 516 miles (GPS) or 534 (odometer). Left Bluefield at 8, arrived here at the hotel at 6. Ride 120 miles, stop buy 2.4 gallons of gas, lather, rinse, and repeat a few times and you're there.

Shooting for Bangor, ME tomorrow. Scenic detours in Western and Souther Mass. may prevail. Another 500 mile day should be easy.

No pictures to post, only snapped a couple while riding. I didn't expect to be able to post from the road, but the hotels has a computer here in the lobby. I'll update again if I come across another computer sometime.

Day 8

Back on US soil. Camped last night near Liverpool, NS at Fisherman's Cove campground. Up early, got to Yarmouth by 8:30ish and on THE CAT a day early hoping to miss the storm. Seasick for 6 hours :-&

Staying just west of Sprinfield, MA in Ludlow.

First real rain today on the 495 around Boston.

Amazing trip, my head is spinning.

Look for Great Rides Post w/in the next several days.

Brian,
Ride up to Essex Junction, VT for the MOA Rally. It is only 200 miles away, and you could win a bike.
