I'm feeling horny

Post by DJ Downunder »

The RR horn is so bad...I just found this and thought...yes...that's going to be my next mod.

Loud enough to convince other drivers that there's a derailed freight train barrelling down on them.

Don't press the horn button in the garage, it hurts! At 139dB you can hear it on the other side of town.. :D

Wow - I bet that sucker draws some power! Where would you mount it?

Wow, I wonder if the power it draws will screw up the ABS?

I would try and mount it where the stock one mounts...?I'll have to suss that out.

I could use that 'waste-of-space' area that I have under the tank because I don't have ABS.

It should be still ok for ABS bikes..a guy put one on his R1100S without any problems but he said this about the relay...
Old school relay direct to battery. It has been posted since that the stock horn is run by a relay which would save a little trouble but I have not checked the wiring diagram.

I never liked stock horns on any bike.

That horn looks great. I also like that Nippy Norman's site. Take a look at the LED turn signals. They have a set that includes one row of red LED's with the yellow ones, the red row coming on as brake lights. Sounds great to me. LED's draw so little power I'm not sure if they would be a problem with ABS.

They also have a pretty cool accesory fuse box on the site.
