Does anyone have some pics capturing a real, good ol fashioned wheelie on one of our rr's? ( would love to know how u pulled it also !)
or someone dragging a knee for that matter? Just interested in pics using the rr!

I doubt he's bailing off, Tipstall...

Most likely he's got his right foot on the back of the seat or his knee across the saddle to help bring it up. I used to use that mehod all the time when we did indoor mini-ATV (Honda ATC-70 and ATC-110 three-wheelers) demonstrations at car and bike shows around our area. Makes it real easy to control the balance point, and you can always bring the front end down rolling off the throttle.

And yes, cyclepete... It is indeed a Rockster. You can see the Rockster headlight if you look close.

Actually, I think it's a yellowjacket with an aftermarket/custom headlight.

Nice wheelie though.

Now that I look at it, I think R4R&R is exactly right. Yellow color, gunmetal gray oil color covers, black heads... I'll bet it is a "Yellowjacket", too after all.

A different read on the 50R wheelie.
You got my curiosity up ‘cause I just couldn’t make this “work” in my mind.
So I showed it to a young guy I work with who is a “semi-pro” stunt rider. He and his stunt group have videos on the market, appear locally & regionally for events, has competed the last 2 years in their national competition, and has a rep among the other stunters here as being very good.
At first glance he said the guy is either crashing or the bike is equipped with a hand (thumb) brake.
With a closer look we both decided the bike is obviously not a stunter with the turn signals, rear license holder and all, and you rarely see a stunter coming out of a left-hand corner!
I told him these things have “engine braking from hell” and we played that scenario too. He would need some brake to save it as the bike is too far back…it’s “too late”. And even if the rider was counting on engine braking for a save, why would he have his left foot completely away from the right peg & brake pedal, as a back-up?
I asked my stunter buddy why he would have his right leg out of sight like that (knee on seat?) *and* his left leg on the rider’s peg. He said he wouldn’t. Without a thumb brake (not likely) he has no brakes. And the stunters almost never use the main pegs for wheelies...they use the passenger pegs as it’s far easier to balance the bike. He said he broke the left rider peg ‘off’ his main stunt bike and didn’t even replace it for 2 months since he doesn’t use it.
So my friends, it looks like we are seeing the middle stages of a big “Oh, Chit!!” and the rider is actually starting to bail off.

I tend to agree Dave...I looked at that pic long and hard...a few other things look wrong...the position of his boot on the peg...no fingers on the levers..looks a little off balance...right wrist cranked forward..if you listen carefully..you can hear a whimper."oh mummy"...

A lot of great pics that we see on the net aren't what they seem...take this one for example...I've seen this cool slide in the wet pic many times over the years..each time I thought how cool is that.



He looks in perfect controle...everything looks right...then one day I came across this pic..years later..I thought..hmmm..nasty.. ..same guy a second later.



I'd like to see the second pic of Dallara's pic..

But then there's guys who do the impossable..and make it look easy...





anyway...getting back to pics of our bikes on the back wheel...there's not many about...I have a few.....I might get Marko to take some pics of me one day..

Don't we have tell tales on the ends of our pegs? If not what are those things? Do you hear or feel them, (not that I ever will)? I have no problem accelerating out of a corner but trust me I'm not driving hard into one and dragging a knee. Those 600 miles under belt has some brains, I'm learning and having fun.
