Some Pics from Fall Big Bend ride...

Post by dallara »

Hi, Folks...

Here's a link to my SmugMug gallery with a few pics of this past weekend's Big Bend ride with Dean, Acacia, Moose, Bill, and some others. It was a ball.

Please note the captions under each pic for a description.

Here's one to enjoy while you are waiting for the gallery to load...

Nice snaps.
Was there a story re: the oil under the ST, or was it opportunism on the photographers behalf :?:
Cheers...and stay horizontal!

Just In...

*** NEWSFLASH ***

This Just In...

While we were in the Texas Big Bend country for our recent ride, little did we know, but the McDonald Observatory was doing some radio telescope and infrared imaging of some of our riders...

Here's a radio spectrum/infrared image they got of Dean "Grandpa Hoon" Lear of how he looks inside his helmet when he is out in the twisties on his R-1200-ST...

This guy parties hardy.....big time. He does set up a spread of samplings of various adult beverages.

Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.

My heart attack after testing some adult beverage. Notice the evidence parked on Alans (Dallara) seat parked next to my superior ST. Fortunately it was able to heal it self. Was tranny oil though.

Dean, I want to state for the record I had nothing to do with that oil spill.

I don't think Aerostitch makes a fake puddle that big.

Excellent ride report. Do it again next year and I'll make a serious effort to drop by.

Cheers to Big D, looks like he organized a great ride.

Big Bend...

To BMWDave52...

Dean told me about the "fake" oil spill trick...

*HILARIOUS*!!!

But this one under Dean's bike in the pics above was *NOT* fake... Nearly an entire quart of Amsoil Gear Oil...

I wish you could have seen Dean's reaction... :smt118

We all thought he was going down for the count at first!

To SocalRob...

We're gonna' do it again sometime next year... Maybe twice - once in the Spring and again in the Fall. Dean and I have been chatting on the phone about a big Texas Hill Country Apex Fest, too... Probably in late April. Hope you can make if down for all of them.

BTW, from Dean and my recent discussions, this past ride was only a meager test flight. First time I have put together a ride like this one, and I learned a lot. I promise the next ones will only get better!!!

Cheers!

Sounds like you guys had a wonderful trip! The riding season is fast coming to an end in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast. I'm going to be terribly jealous of you Southern brethren who reside in states where you'll be able to post pics like this over the next four months.
