I just got this off my BMW Owners of GA maillist. Of interest to anyone living in the southeast or may be traveling this way or visiting Deal's Gap.

"While at Tellico Plains and the Cherohala Parkway this weekend, we heard
about Cherohala Motorcycle Resort, 232 Reliance Road, Tellico Plains, TN
37385, 423-253-6544. It just opened this past April and is very nice. Still
small and unknown, but very nice and clean. The owners are also riders.
Cabins are $35 with beds and air conditioning, tent camping is $10.
Go north about 1 mile on 68 out of Tellico Plains, take a left on TN 39. Go
about 5 miles and turn left on TN 315. CMR is less than 1 mile on your
right. By the way, TN 315 is a road well worth the trip by itself!! J Duke"

I'll be there next weekend with some friends. Riding up from South Ga. Glad to hear someone confirm it's a nice place.

$35/night for what is basically a private cabin with A/C??? This place is gonna be a monster. Is this common out there?? Maybe its where I've been looking but I havent seen many MOTEL rooms for less than 40-50/night and thats like Motel 6 and such and hotels you're talking 70-80 and way the hell up!!

Looks like a nice place in a hell of a good location for riders. I'm jealous!!
