Posting Photographs
If I ever figure how to put photographs on this site they will appear. Any tips or links to that for the UK? I guess you have to place them somewhere then send a link to here? Did that once a long time ago and now forgotten how.

yep, photobucket...flickr...sites like that. I use a google+ profile that's seriously easy too.
copy/paste the link that you make into the post, then highlight that link once copied to post. while highlighted, click the "IMG" button directly above the text box. "IMG" tags will appear on either side of the link, which will embed the photo.
Just make sure the place you put it is public. otherwise we cant see it.

Re: Posting Photographs
Thanks. I think I have got that and posted a couple of pictures.
Does the photograph need to remain in Photobucket for it to display in this forum?

you're essentially making visual link between two sites. so if the site of origin goes away, so does the link. any who view it will get a big fat red X.
should be able to make photo, right click, then click "copy image URL" that will be your linked pic which you copy into post.
OR: Many photo hosting sites even offer the URL link already formatted with IMG tag in option boxes. all you need do is copy all that into forum post, and VOILA!
like this(see bottom):
I stole this off the web, and added img tags. So if it were to be taken down, you would no longer see it.

NOTE: that is exactly what it will look like after posting URL plus hitting "IMG" button after linking here. it just saves you a step.
