UH OH, Lost the little rubber cap...

Post by jasondo »

Greeting,

First time poster, long time lurker.

So I just bought a rockster and finished a valve adjustment. Everything went great until upon trying to insert the little rubber cap over the peep hole in the side of the engine block I accidently pushed in right into the hole and it disappeared! wtf do i do now? will it harm anything? Also anyone out there have a spare ? lol

Thanks

no worries. It's rubber - it's in the clutch area (which doesn't contain any oil), it won't do any damage whatsoever as it will have fallen to the bottom of the bell casing.

You could use a square of duct tape over the hole - it's just to prevent rain water getting into the bell casing.
