I gave my bike a present today

Post by Woland »

I felt generous today and decided to give my bike a present.

Sry for the crappy phone pic.

A nice new set of Wilbers black line shocks with all the bells and whistles :)

Considering the old shocks were the original ones, now with some 90000km's on them the difference in ride quality was significant

Haven't had time to fiddle with the Wilbers yet but my 12km ride home from the shop was a joy. A lot smoother and feeling more planted. I'm excited!

Got the Wilbers off ebay, 18 months old and having been ridden for barely 300km's, I got them for about 1/3 of what they cost new.

Can't wait to dial them in properly and see how they perform.

An inner fender to protect those new shocks from road debris. Looks like a carbon fiber model. A non-carbon fiber version is available at http://www.machineartmoto.com/, from MachineArtMoto. It's called the MudSling. I have one mounted and it greatly reduces the amount of bad stuff getting on to the shock, under the seat and the surrounding area.
