I can't seem to find a luggage rack for my 2012 R1200R with factory saddle bags. Someone please help.

If you're looking for non-BMW there's the Givi SR5100 or E193, or Shakey's awesome setup.

Thanks for the input but I don't think any of these will work on the 2012 with factory saddle bag mounts.

You have to remove the factory saddlebag mounting rails and replace them with the factory luggage rack. It has the same mounting points for the BMW bags on the sides. You also have to remove the passenger grab handles because they get in the way of the rack. It's OK because the BMW rack provides a good pair of grab handles itself, on the sides. You also have to replace the silver painted tail light cover with the older version, because the holes in the cover are ugly when the handles are gone.

This is the factory rack. The bike came with bag mounts, it was a Package deal. I had to take them off and install this kit.

I do not like a 50 litre top box, so I put this pellican case and added a backrest for the little woman.

I in stalled the rack in the parking lot at the dealer.

Saddle bags are only on when I travel.

Actually, all three will - depends on which factory bag mounts you have.

If you have sidebag and topcase mounts (like in David R's photo) you can bolt the E193 to your rack to use a Givi trunk. I have a 2011, and have done this myself. The 2012 luggage mounts are the same. You can also use Shakey's setup, which I have also done. It's more work on your part, but it's pretty cool.

If you have sidebag mounts only, use the SR5100 to use a Givi trunk with the stock BMW sidebags.

As an aside, I added the topcase and mounting to my bike at the dealer, so I ended up with both sidebag only and all three bags mouting, so I could run any of these three setups. Depending on how your bike is setup, you have at least one workable option, likely more. You can download the installtion PDFs for both of the Givi setups if you don't believe. me.

The windshield is a Parabellum.
Look em up.

I figured the styling of the shield matched the bike. It could work better but my last bike was an RT.

This bike is BMW to the bone!
