Source for Braided Brake Hoses

Post by foobar »

I am looking to change out the stock rubber lines on my R1150R and have been shopping for the braided hoses. I would not mind doing the clutch lines either.

I have done google and board searches and have come to the conclusion that the going rate is about $45-$50 per caliper-- is this what others are seeing? Anyone have a good online source for these?

TIA

Several options, as you have discovered.

Buying a used brake line might be worth considering:

If it were me, I'd get either a custom setup through Spiegler (somewhat expensive) or pick up cheap used parts where possible.

I would recommend that you try Hampton Rubber Company, http://hamptonrubber.com/
They carry or can get just about anything. I have used them several times for hoses for my boat.
