Rockster video - riding Alps - Switzerland/Italy/Austria

Post by sigg »

Here's a short video of my trip through Alps on Rockster.

http://youtu.be/r1QY7eP-oTU

We did 3000 km in a week. I have a GPS record from the entire trip which was mainly fantastic roads through the mountains. So if anyone is interested I can share it.

Sigg.... I'd like to get a copy of your GPS Record please? I'm not sure if I'll be able to use it, but if not me, then one of the other lads may be able to, or at least we could use it for reference?

We have a trip in early September planned, where we plan to ride down through France from Dieppe Port and stay just SE of Riems. We're going to head down to Switzerland and into N.Italy, through the alpine passes to Bormio, ride the Stelvio Pass from the southern end to the Northern end, then on toward Merano before heading into Austria to spend a few days based near the Grossglockner Pass.

We haven't decided what route direction to take on the return leg yet - your trip might have a couple of good ideas to build in to ours perhaps?

Thanks. G.

Hi,
for anyone who would like to see the GPS track records I have published the KML files here

https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0BwxjtU ... x&hl=en_US

You can open these files using Google Earth (http://www.google.com/earth/index.html) or any other map software.
