2004 R1150R (looking for a few things)

Post by cameron5387 »

Hello every one,
I am new to the forum and to BMW. I’m looking to pick up a couple things for my 2004 R1150R and was thinking some of you guys may have the items available????
I’m looking for:
-Sport screen
- Factory Luggage grid
Also, I purchased the bike with a GIVI top case. Looking to sell the case and bracket, if anyone is interested please let me know.
Thanks.

I'd keep the Givi case and bracketry if I were you. A lockable top case is one of the most useful things to have on a bike.

I bought a 45L Givi top case in Rome 15 months ago. Got it for 90 Euros, which was about $135 at the time. A 33L BMW top case would've cost me $325.
I took a chance and made it my carry on luggage for the flight back (got some weird comments about it) - it would only fit in the business class overheads (they're slightly bigger than the coach overheads). I love it, it's very practical.

I like the case, my wife doesn’t like the look??????? It a compromise thing, I think? I have the saddle bags (city cases, I believe is correct) they will hold as much as I think I would carry. I have a touring windshield that I plan on keeping, I’m looking for the sport (or something similar) to ride locally.

Where in the panhandle are you? I'm from Tallahassee, but I now live in Stuart, Fl.
