2. windshield needs to be taller
3. want engine crush bars
4. want highway pegs to attach to above bars
5. Exhaust needs to be louder
6. Mirrors, the stock r mirrors are horrible
7. other little things here and there

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects handlebars to the saddle. 2009 R12R
NY, you will soon stumble upon a mystery of mathematics...your list will drop below 6 at times...and then the next morning you will discover it has gone back to 6... ...many have discovered this...none have discovered the answer to this conundrum.

Items 1 through 5 are convincing: you really do have an R12R!

Thats why secretly many refer to the purchase of an R12 as a "down payment". Its a money pit, but a REALLY fun one nonetheless! Stock seat is next on my list.
thank you i suspected this will be the same as my camera, while the body of the camera costed "x" amount of dollars the lenses for that camera are costing ......

Sounds like you are catching on ... its the more costly version of the Remington shaver model.
The only good news that I can add to the discussion is that owning an RR is WAY cheaper than airplanes and boats. Holy Crap those are expensive. The RR is CHEAP.
Of course there is the infinite farkle problem we all are aware of.

2011 RT WARNING: TEST RIDING THE R1200R IS HAZARDOUS TO YOUR FINANCES
Before you spend big bucks on a replacement seat, see if this lower cost solution fixes the problem for you: http://www.alaskaleatheronline.com
I can attest that the sheepskin pad worked wonders for my previous bike (ST1300). I haven't gone on a ride long enough to test it on my R12R.

My experience with mirrors (and most other things) is you usually get what you pay for. I've done the cheap mirror thing and ended up with mirrors that I couldn't tell the difference between a Honda Civic and a Freightliner coming up behind me. While style is a matter of personal choice, I've never been disappointed with the performance of a OEM (BMW/Honda) mirror.

stock r1200 mirrors being an exception to the rule as they are horrible for OEM lol
