Hey everyone,
I've been on the site hard for a few days researching all the posts prior to purchasing a 2004 R1150R today. This bike has a little over 5,000 miles & ABS. I'm a little overwhelmed with all the information available on this site! Kudos to everyone for such a great community.
As I am new to BMW bikes, I'm trying to come up with a good "inspection checklist" to inspect the bike when I meet the seller to ensure it's in good condition. Additionally, I'm looking for a "must do" list for this bike to ensure some of the most common problems don't bite me in the behind. For example, fuel line quick disconnects, cable ties issue, etc. I feel like the low mileage is a double-edged sword, good because low mileage, possibly bad because of a lack of use.
Has anyone happened to consolidate some of the information into a list for their personal use? Would you please share it?
I apologize in advance if anyone has already posted as I have not found such lists.
