Atlanta Blue

Post by cycl2day »

Anyone know why the Atlanta Blue model is noted as "fastest" on the specs page ?

The Atlanta Blue riders are so overcome with envy of the Dark Ferro paint job, that they try to compensate by being heavy handed with the throttle.

Good - that clears up that nagging question. You wanted the Atlanta Blue and they had none ?

Actually they had one Dark Ferro...and I couldn't resist. :p

I think Doug the adminstrator and creator of the website had an Atlanta Blue. We used to have discussions about which color was fastest. The Atlanta blue being the "fastest" on the spec page is just a bit of internet sillyness.

If it is on the internet, it must be true!

To be very candid, as a new BMW owner in 2009, the color is the least important thing. I just love the ride, but continue to be confused as to why people ride other motorcycles when they could find the Ferro or the Atlanta Blue or black Rbike

The R1150R is just a fantastic motorcycle, no matter the color. I’ve bought my Atlanta blue on the 19th of August 2002 and ridden her over 82000 kilometers. And I have no intention to trade her in for some newer model. That Roadster is reliable and that engine runs so very smooth.

The Dark Ferro does not do well on ice. I have some experience here. Silver does well--DarK Ferro doesn't.
