Met another R1200R rider today....

...just outside of REI.

I stepped out of the store, and there it was, another black R.
Amazingly, this was the first time I'd seen one out in the wild that wasn't mine.

We chatted briefly, enough to know he's got close to 6K on his bike and he's getting a Leo Vance exhaust.

I didn't want to chat his ear off so it was a brief discussion. He was a real nice guy though. He had the prettiest bike, a pretty passenger, was shopping at REI and is upgrading the exhaust. Clearly a man of excellent tastes.

I look forward to meeting more of you in the future....

Your post caught my attention as my husband has a black '07 R1200R and I work at REI in WA!
He just got his bike late last year so doesn't have nearly the miles but loves riding it. I have an '09 F650GS twin which I recently got as well when I sold my '07 F650GS - wanted a bit more hp and less vibe. I love it!
