Aluminium head guard protectors on R1150R

Hello everyone,

Willthese aluminium head guard protectors fit on my 04 R1150R? (these, part nbr. 71607658636, or from some other brand) I've seen them on the Gs's



After a very stupid accident in which the plastic protector broke giving almost 0 protection to the cylinder head, I'm seriously considering mounting one set of these. Anyone has them on the RR? Any pics?

Without putting too much time into research, my answer would be no. Those appear to be on a 1200GS "hex-head". They may fit on the 1200R but not the 1150.

yep, you're right. Not sure if they make it for the 1150, but they should. I saw the tourtech one, it's a bit "rough", not as elegant as the bmw one... I'll keep looking.

Here's what you need for your RR, 04, twinspark.
It comes from A&S BMW Motorcycle parts:

For additional protection, they take a look at these from Hepco Becker,

Some riders put both on.

The Hepco Becker bars do really protect the heads, however if your a spirited rider you will find they grind. I bought some a couple years ago, and am now careful to not get into a corner to hard, mine are flat on the bottom I wish the Stanton protectors were still available.

'Stanton' style head guards are avaialble in the UK


Look up user 'Steptoe' on www.ukgser.com

He has them foundered in small batches,easy fit, come raw so that you can paint /coat as required.
