New horse in the stable...

Post by tobes »

I went and picked up a 2008 R1200R from my local dealer today. Feels good to be back riding. It really bummed me out to have my last bike totaled but this is a sweet bike. I have a luggage rack and top case on order. These will be installed with the 600 mile service. This bike is almost identical to my 07 with the exception of now having chrome headers, white turn indicators, and a low seat. Performance wise everything seems identical between the two. The self check at start up happens about twice as fast on this bike but so far that about the only difference I see. This bike didn't come with a windscreen. But I don't notice any difference between riding with the sport screen and without. The tall ZTecknik is in the garage and will be installed for an upcoming ride in August. Otherwise everything feels great on this bike and it should be a lot of fun!
