I found #203

Post by jkass »

Obvious n00b here. I drove it on Saturday and fell in love. it's an 04 with 44K. Anything I might be concerned with checking? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank You.

44k - miles, kilometers? Assume your reference is for Edition 80.

Any info available from the original owner? Any service history from BMW's database? Any or all of that could be helpful.

Aside from those basics, there's a wealth of info and experience here within the Roadster board.

Worth checking the drive shaft for leaks front and back. Mine leaked and it turned out a costly fix.

Not an ED80, just saw a number 203 on the tree and thought it might be valuable to someone. (Shows what a newb I am)
$4995, a real good price I think.

It was citrus, the only citrus left is the wheels. Flat black and CF. 44K Miles not km. That has me a little worried, but my father (lifelong Bimmer rider) says it's not that big a deal. Trying to get service records from the original one owner.

No leaking (after a 10 mile test drive) from axle shaft seal.

Thanks for taking the time guys...fantastic forum!
