Well... I can only report on what I've seen. A friend ordered a setup for his R100GS through a local mechanic. It was not a success. As the kit was delivered it was missing pieces needed to mount the pickups. It took the mechanic multiple (many many multiple) calls to Kisan to try to get something which would work for mounting the pickup coils. It took over a month to even get close. He finally got it so the system would read the tire transmitters if the wheels were spun in the shop. Problem was - it wouldn't work correctly at any speed over 1mph.

I have a feeling it's not quite ready for prime time. Nice idea - but the distance between the actual pressure sensors and their pickup coil is critical, and on some bikes impossible to get correct.

When I bought my 2007 - BMW claimed they'd offer a kit to retrofit the factory TPM system. So far - I haven't seen one, but that might be a case of not enough of us bugging BMW about it. Perhaps with some nudging from us they might make one available..

Dunno.. perhaps we should start emailing BMW-Motorrad? Going through the dealers is probably futile - although I'll ask a good friend who might have an idea where to start bugging them..
