First BMW for me two!

Post by zeke »

Hello, I just picked up my new to me 2004 R1150R! The bike runs great and only has 3200 miles on the odometer. I was searching for this bike for awhile, and I am very excited to have it in my garage. Amazing how when you are really looking for something it is very difficult to find. I snapped a couple of pictures (will someone please please pm me idiot proof directions for attaching photos to postings). The bike is stock with the exception of the cb windscreen, which is great. Looking forward to adding some accessories...any suggestion on items that I cannot live without?

Very sweet! To post the pics, I posted mine to a pic server account (I use flickr.com but a lot of folks use other websites like photobucket.) Then, insert the link for the pick, highlight the link and hit the Img button.

Zeke: congrats. I know the feeling of trying to hunt down one of these bikes, as well as a GS (I found a gem of an RR ultimately). Seems as if every time I answered an ad it was already gone. I think that's when I knew that it might be the right bike for me. Good luck and good hunting on accessories. Mine came with an Aeroflow windshield, Remus Revolution exhaust, system cases and, my most appreciated extra, a Russell Day-Long saddle. Very comfy.

Congrats on the bike. You will love it and you will love this site. Sounds like you need to take a trip to Skyline Drive!

Skyline drive sounds great! Do you know of some good routes to ride? I think spring is here to stay this time, so a day trip will soon be in order.

I actually haven't had the R up there yet, which is kind of pathetic since I have had the bike two years this month. I will be going out there sometime soon.

Here is a picture of my new wheels. As you can see it is very basic.....so I need to add some personal touches.
