compadibility

I am looking at a 2007 K1200GT front rim 3.50 x 17 5 spoke which looks identical to the r1200r front rim. Does any one know if this is interchangable? The two rims have different part numbers and different bearings. Can I use the axle for the k1200gt rim in place of the r1200r axle, making everything match up and bolt on??
