Wanted / Source for Foam Grip Covers

Post by NCGS »

Gents, I have a set of foam grip covers on my R12R that I bought in '05 when I owned a R12GS. When I bought the foam covers they came in a set of 3 pairs. I installed one pair on my GS, which went with the bike when I sold it, I gave another pair to a buddy who owns a GS , and the 3rd set is on my R12R.

I find that the diameter of the stock grips is too small for my hands, and I get cramps after a short period while riding. It's actually quite uncomfortable.

Now I find myself in need of another pair for a recently acquired '77 R100/7, and I'd like to have a spare pair for the R12R in the event one of them gets cut or damaged.

I can't seem to find the link to the source where I bought the foam grip covers in '05 - does anyone have a source where they can be purchased?

Thanks much!

Beemer Boneyard!!

Or do a search for "grips" on the boneyard site.

Try this link:

You need the "small" diameter for the R12R.

How about Neoprene?

I use these grips: http://www.amotostuff.com/thestore/prods/210-X.html

And with the Velcro, I can move them if needed.

I've used mine since I got the bike (March 07) and they are holding up great.
