Cycle World Bike of the Year

Post by ColumbiaBMW »

Did anyone else see that the BMW R1200R was the sixth best bike of the year on CycleWorld.com? Too bad I have an R1150R, but congratulations to all of you that have the 1200. Only weird thing is that the link to pics of the bike are of a K1200R.

So far there have been over 50 people view this post and not one has responded? Do you 1200 guys not associate with the 1150 guys? I'm just kidding...

No... it just took a while to find it. It's the "international" best-10, not CycleWorlds best 10.. it's made from a compilation of about 10 different motorcycle mags around the worlds best 10 lists I guess.

Interesting list actually..

Yeah I know they get with the other magazines from around the world, that is why the Voxan is on there I guess, I was just saying it's on their website incorrectly. But man, I really think that Voxan is a nice looking bike. Too bad it will probably not ever be available over here though, in this months Cycle World though David Edwards in his editorial suggested that maybe BMW should buy them out so they have some money behind them.....that would be interesting!

Sorry.
You didn't have a link so I went over to Cycle World to check it out. Couldn't find the article, but found lots of other good reads and great pictures of some 'umbrella girls'.
Then I lost all sense of time.

I'm back now though and I found the article.
Thanks for the tip.
That 1098 is gorgeous and sounds great. If I win the lottery, one of those goes in the garage.

Thanks for the heads-up. The sleepers in the BMW line are often real gems (R1100R, R1150R, R1200R).

Every BMW rider who found out that I purchased the R12R initially wondered why I picked it over the more popular models. That is, until they borrow it for a ride and return with huge smiles on their faces.
