is this a warranty issue?

Post by LeonardoNYC »

This may sound silly but ever since I got the bike the only minor annoyance was this rattling sound I would have at low idle. At first I thought it was the ticking someone described a few months ago that was solved by an aftermarket butterfly valve.

While at a stop light the other day I noticed the noise was a little worse than normal and cupped my left hand on the left mirror and low and behold the ticking/rattling stopped. Turns out the mirror is a bit loose and rattles and when held it goes away. Can this be replaced under warranty or will they tell me it's not broken or not covered or something to that effect?

Thanks.

Sure sounds like a warranty issue to me.

Fix

A dab of flowable silicone sealant around the edges of the mirror quickly fixes that problem with no loss of ride time !
