I've never had any luck finding a schematic. The BMW manual does include a wiring loom routing illustration that is very helpful for locating connectors, junctions, etc. I bought a downloadable version on eBay for $6.

Best I can tell you have to order a schematic from BMW if you want the real deal. They list them on the `fiche.

The Clymer manual for the R1150 series (R, RT) has the wiring diagrams in it. I don't know how accurate it is, but best I can tell (from using it with my RT), it is accurate.
