Hepco & Becker 'Journey 50' topcase mounting
If anyone out there has the subject topcase fitted to their R1150R, could you please tell me how you mounted the box? Did you use an adaptor of some description to mount the box on the original BMW plate, or did you use a Hepco & Becker carrier. Part numbers would be appreciated
Thanks in advance, cruiser

I used the Hepco rack for my 40 liter topcase.

I have the 50-liter and it uses the same mounting hardware as Scootercop's 40 liter. Just use the solid and well-made H-B mount plate. It's relatively inexpensive and simply replaces the plastic BMW rack-plate and vertical struts with a steel plate and struts. You just swap the BMW bolts for the provided H-B kit--about a five-minute job.
It looks a bit more business-like than the original equipt, but not out of place, as Scooter's picture proves, and it carries the top case securely, with easy on-and-off. I've used mine all summer to carry up to thirty pounds of expensive camera gear to jobs and on vacation, and I have nothing but praise for it.
Edited addition:
Just reread the OP and noticed your request for part numbers:
