Thanks, I agree as to the looks of the Givis vs the BMW side cases. I love the BMW mounting system but really preferred the look of the Givi bags, so I live with the brackets when the bags are off.

One option is the SW-Motech quicklock carriers. They have an adapter for the Givi (among many others) and come off in seconds with only a couple small mounts showing.

I saw those and flipped the mental coin between them and the Givi brackets. Actually I don't mind having the Givi brackets without the bags, or I don't mind it as much as I mind having to take them off. The Givis aren't quite as noticeable as the SW-Motechs without the bags on.
