Australian R1200R Riders - Meet & Ride in your town

I have been heartened by a few PM's which tell me that we all have a life but want to share some bits of it with likeminded.

May I suggest we descend upon Brooklyn, not offend any other agenda, touch base and see where we can go occasionally.

Riding is individual but if there is a common destination that can become a lot of fun with like minded. When you turn off the engine you can turn on the shared joys.

Those who can make it will and those who can't can be notified of the outcome.

In other pursuits I have found that an effort a season (there being nominally 4 a year) provides ample opportunity for experiences, communication & bonhomie without obligation.

Occasionally a good friendship emerges.

I have to admit you are right. That's why I 've been married to the same cold hands and feet for the last 24 years...

And unless someone can come up with a photo of four or more members' bikes together on this forum with more than 75% of them in one other colour, we have I think resolved the question; granite grey IS the new black.

Now that there seems to be a core of interested Sydney (Australia) R12R riders, I'm going to set out a possible ride here for us plus any interetsed hangers-on.

Other Sydney riders, feel free to add ...

I'm only looking for a FEW riders (general busy-ness etc should assure that happens naturally enough) ... organising a group over 6 or so is just a PITA without a structure or club (I organise an annual 4-day charity run so I KNOW) .. plus it's informal / own risk etc

SUGGESTED RUN
DATES: 12 & 13 September
DISTANCE: ~930km
ROUTE:
Sat: Sydney - Jamberoo Mtn - Bundanoon - Goulburn - Oberon - Bathurst - Sofala - Rylstone - Bylong - Jerrys Plains - Windsor
OVERNIGHT:
Pub or maybe caravan park cabins. Open to suggestions from Oberon to Bylong (Rylstone pub - Globe - has OK food but accomodation is limited there so standard is low-ish and price is high-ish). Will research when / if I get some takers.
TIMING
Depends on where we overnight - slight preference for early start to late lunch in Oberon, which would see Bylong a feasible destination for a long Sat / short Sun run (home by lunchtime Sunday)

My vote is west. Over the range and far away. Oberon, Blayney and places with fast twisties and good lunches

Yeah I am ready to go - would like to catch up with the rr riders and others also of course. Not sure if I can manage 2 days but will try if that seems the go. Otherwise most Sundays are good if anyone is up for a short ride would also be good.
