I was just kiddin'.

I was sort of feeling left out of all the Rally posts, so I thought I'd just pretend.

Seems everyone is having a rally at least 1000 miles away from me. I can take a hint.

Don't worry GypsyRR..You can do your own 'one person' rally..

and not have to wait for anyone to catch up..

stop whenever you like..

and breakwind without anyone knowing..

..btw..how is the new screen going?

Oh Sure! By the time I finished, I'd be too wasted to even participate in the rally. Then I'd have to do it all over again, just to get home.

DJ: I like the new windscreen a lot. I like the way it looks and I like the way it 'breaks wind' (notice: IT does the wind breaking......., not me!) I suppose if/when I sell my bike, having a choice of windscreen might be advantageous to the buyer and hence, profitable for me??

'Course, it has to be at a good time; in a good place; with good people; no tourists; open roads; no police; limited straight sections; lots of things to see; excellent lodgings; good, FAST, sit down restaurant meals; plentiful, cheap fuel; clean restrooms; what did I forget?

There's a ride in Big Bend (Alpine)Texas the last weekend in Oct. I rode my Rockster out from FL last year, and am planing to go again this year.

Mostly BMW, but a little bit of everything. All nice people, in my experience, including a few females. Those Texans work hard at making everyone feel welcome.

It's worth taking a look at, IMO.

BTW, for Texans, it is never hard work to make people feel welcomed. It comes naturally. (Disclaimer: this comment does not necessarily cover non-native Texans living within a fifty mile radius of Dallas)

I first heard about it on another forum, but it seems like it's pretty loose knit.

As usual, a couple people take responsibility for organization, maps & route guides for recomended day rides, etc.

I'll PM the email address of one of the ringleaders.
He's a good guy. You can see what he says, and make up your own mind.
